Where to buy OPI nail polish in Singapore

There are 2 ways to get your hand to your OPI nail polish in Singapore.

The traditional way is to purchase from a beauty/ nail polish salons. Your desired OPI polish will not come cheap. Average price of OPI nail polish is about $20 per bottle. Cheapest we came across was $18. 

Another way is to purchase thru the internet. It is definitely cheaper than purchasing from beauty/ nail polish salons.

1. Purchase OPI Nail Polish from directly from US online store.

OPI nail polish prices in US online store is about US$4.50 per bottle. That is about SGD$6.30 per bottle. But you have to bear in mind that shipping charges is not included. Average shipping charges is about USD$20 – USD$30. This does not make sense to purchase thru US online store unless you are make a huge purchase of 20-30 bottle at a go.

2. Purchase OPI Nail Polish thru Ebay Singapore

This is one of the cheapest ways to get your hands to your desired OPI nail polish. Average price for OPI nail polish before Devil’s Heaven came into picture, was about SGD$12 - SGD$15 per bottle excluding postage. We got the OPI price stumbling down to about SGD$10-SGD$12 after we starting selling in Ebay.  We are labeled as “Spoil Market” by our fellow Singapore OPI Ebay sellers. :P

Things to note when buying on Ebay

• Don’t just look at buying price. Some sellers place a low buy price but high on postage and handling charges. Do your sum and get the best price available
• Read the each Ebay seller ads carefully. Read the terms and conditions. Some sellers place a low buy price on the heading but the price is for bulk purchase.




3. Purchase OPI Nail Polish thru Singapore online store/BlogShop
   • Spree

   Alot of online stores are hosted in blogs by many. This is term as  BlogShop. Usually Blogshop does OPI nail polish spree. What is OPI nail polish spree? It means blogshop takes orders for indicated period of time (usually 2 weeks), consolidate all the orders and make a bulk order to a US OPI nail polish supplier.

   • Advantage:

   This brings down the total price for 1 bottle of OPI nail polish as shipping cost is equally shared among all orders.
   Eg. Shipping Charges/ Total number of Orders) + OPI price = Final Price

   • Disadvantage:
     • It may take up to 1 month before you could receive your OPI nail polish. You may not know the actual total price of your OPI nail polish upon ordering as blogshop need to consolidate all orders before able to calculate shared shipping cost. Total cost per bottle will be advised upon closing of spree. If response of spree is not overwhelming, final total price increases as shipping cost is shared by lesser orders.
     • Spree may be cancelled due to poor response.
   
   
   • Online store

   Some blogshop does carry OPI nail polish stock. In Oct 2007, prices   ranges from SGD$13 – SGD$16 per bottle excluding local postage charges. You could receive your desired OPI nail polish within 1 week if stock is available.  They normally advertise a low price but upon visiting their blogshop, price advertised is valid if purchase more than 3 bottles and above.

   We, Devil's Heaven, “spoil the market” again. :P We setup an online shop using commercial shopping cart and incorporate shipping charges into OPI nail polish price. Furthermore, we keep substantial amount of stock and replenish them weekly. Waiting time and price for each OPI nail polish has decrease significantly.  We pass this saving back to customer.

   Currently (June 2008), price for OPI nail polish sold in online store/blogstore is about SGD$9 – SGD$12.50.

Why we start Devil’s Heaven

Devil's Heaven is passionate about OPI nail polish! We just love OPI nail polish. We have discovered from experience that OPI nail polish is one of the most durable and longest lasting nail polishes available.  With our experience, OPI nail polish stays on our nails for at least 2 weeks! 

OPI Nail Polish is very expensive when buying from the professional beauty supply stores or nail salons. We used to spend tons of money to get our hands to our desired OPI nail polish colors.  Imagine paying $20 for an OPI nail polish at the saloon and about $13-$15 at blogshop or spree.

We also used to save money and consolidate as much orders from friends and colleague every 3-4 months. This will save us on oversea shipping fee when we purchase from USA. We tried blog spree and were tired of waiting for the final shipping fee. Sometimes, we get frustrated when spree organizer cancels the spree due to poor response.

We got our supplier. What is next? Should we follow others and setup blogshop? NO! We want to be more professional and provide better customer service and communication. Therefore we decided to invest some money into a domain and webhosting. We decided to setup a shopping cart.
